Very disappointing and frustrating experience with American Airlines. Our flight out of Salt Lake City was delayed and we missed our connecting flight...TWICE. We finally arrived at our destination, Grand Rapids MI about 35 hours late. The agents we dealt with didn't seem to care about predicament and were less than helpful.

One of the most idiotic airlines Iβve ever dealt with. I Checked in to go from Grand Rapids to Chicago. The seat next to me was empty, they placed my wife in the row in front of me. They WOULD NOT switch my wife to seat next to me unless I paid $26 plus $50 (seat cost and change fee). I stated that ALL the seats were $26 so it was a wash, not a big deal. The ONLY way to switch was to ask the airline at the airport. Even though they only showed 3 seats available online when we got on the airplane 1/2 the plane was EMPTY!!!! Do NOT fly with this over charging up charging joke of an airline

We chose American because their flights fit our travel schedule. The attendants aren't friendly but not rude just blah. I'll be glad when covid is over and Southwest have more flights. They are the best.

Horrible. We figured we'd fly out of a regional airport instead of Chicago, so we paid a premium. The catch is that American airlines likes to cancel flights a lot. So we ended up driving to Chicago anyways to make our connection. Then we paid for a checked bag, that we had already paid for. It took us an hour on the phone to get a refund for that. On this trip, every single flight has either been delayed or canceled. Also it seems like aa reduces legroom every time you get on a flight. I'm an average size male and my knees were bumping on the seat in front of me. I'm giving them two stars because the plane didn't crash, so that's something. Great job American.
