Nightmare experience traveling 3/16 on American Airlines flight 1738 PLS to PHL. Our flight was delayed for hours at the PLS airport (which has absolutely awful conditions) then upon cancellation, we were put up in a 3 star hotel, while others in our family who were also on our flight were put up in a 5 star all inclusive resort. Communication was terrible, and the staff at the check in counter mocked us as we awaited their support. Unacceptable.

I booked a direct flight with American Airlines in February, expecting a smooth and hassle-free travel experience. However, I was extremely disappointed when the airline changed my itinerary to include a stopover, significantly altering my travel plans. The new schedule not only included an inconvenient stop, but also had crazy hours that disrupted my entire itinerary. The lack of communication and the sudden changes were highly frustrating. I understand that sometimes changes are necessary, but the way American Airlines handled this situation was unacceptable. There was no effort to accommodate my needs or to offer any form of compensation for the inconvenience caused. To make matters worse, if I decide to cancel my trip, the refund will be issued as a credit, not money, and they will deduct $100 from the total amount. This policy adds insult to injury, as it feels like I'm being penalized for their changes. Overall, my experience with American Airlines was very disappointing. I expected a reliable and straightforward travel experience but ended up dealing with unnecessary complications, poor customer service, and unfavorable refund policies. I will think twice before booking with American Airlines again.

American Airlines has turned into one of the most unreliable airline companies. Flights being late, poor rebooking, and a general don't care about the customer attitude.
