    I booked a flight first class. There was one stop to my destination. American Airlines did not have seats available at the time for first class. When I tried to call and let them know I see seats available on their website, they wanted to charge me for an upgrade even though I paid for it. It seems to me that American Airlines will try to nickel and dime you even for things that you paid for. It looks like Delta is my new favorite. Getting rid of being an advantage member. So disappointed I can't even begin to tell you.

    I Really Appreciate How American Airlines Has Treated Me In My Last Two Flights, I Had Some Family Emergencies Recently And Personal Health Issues And I Had To Cancel My Flight About a Month Ago… American Airlines Told Me I Could Get a Waiver Of Time For My Health Issuees And Because Im a Blind Traveler And I Was Able To Rebook My Flight Whenever I Needed To Arrive Back In Sacramento… About 2 Weeks Ago I Booked My Flight Out Of Austin… Because Of The Government Shutdown And a Flight In Dallas Being Struck By Lightning My Flight Was Delayed Only 5 Hours But That I Would Be Missing My Connection And Was Told Earlier That I Would Be Staying In a Hotel In Arizona… Everyone That Missed a Connection In Phoenix Got Hotel And Food Vouchers… They Paid For Everyones Shuttle… I Stayed At The Hyatt Place In Tempe Which Was Really Nice… It Had An Open Bar And Kitchen. They Had a Nice Breakfast The Next Morning And At 10 AM I Caught My Flight Back To California From Phoenix Which Only Took An Hour And a Half And I Was Able To Make It To My Cardiology Appointments And Get The Testing And Medications I Needed… Hopefully I Can Make It Back, Thanks 🇺🇸 ✈️

    I booked a flight in advance for Chicago to see my son graduate from the Navy… 2 week before his graduation I received information that the place to pick up the tickets closed @6 and my flight would land @ 5:54.. Called to see what kind of arrangements could be made.. But the customer service was HORRENDOUS they are like robots just saying the same thing over and over… I WILL NEVER EVER FLY AMERICAN AGAIN. I’m just going to stick with who I can rely on Southwest!!!

    I suggest not checking luggage. By the way, if your luggage is damaged, you must file a claim AT THE AIRPORT. That’s hard to do when you have a ride waiting and ya gotta make tracks. Of course, I discovered that detail after driving several hours away from the airport. I’ve decided to just eat the loss instead of deal with the headache of filing a claim with American! I’m winning 😃

    Because of AA running behind on a flight, I missed my connecting flight. I understand, those things happen. But that’s when things really went downhill. AA had SO many chances to get me to my destination and home without incident, but they screwed me over and over. I spent over $600 because of their mistakes. Afterward I made several calls to AA and spent too much time, and only received about 50% of my money back.
