Very fun time while on board and Very enjoyable after years of not flying. The crew seemed very joyful. Had a spectacular flight with beautiful view

American Airline flight from bangor maine to Philadelphia on 9 Sep 2023 was a complete disaster. Boarded plane, started to taxi & was delayed 1 hour due to aircraft landing blew tires on runway. Started to taxi again & was once again delayed 1 hour because of weather in Philadelphia. Again started to taxi and was delayed once more because there were no gates available in Philadelphia. 25 minutes later, the pilot announced the flight would be canceled and we were returning to the gate at Bangor. We get to the gate, but can't exit the plane because the TSA agent went home. 40 minutes later, the TSA agent returned to let us off plane. All passengers got to American Airline ticketing agent counter only to be told that there were no flights available until Monday, 11 September. This is completely unacceptable and unsatisfactory service. Had to be back for work on Monday. AA did not care. Unapologetic. Had to get a hotel room & wait until Sunday morning to get a rental car to drive 14 hours home, just to not be fired from work. I do not recommend American airlines at all...... the original AA flight to Bangor Maine was delayed as well and had to be rescheduled. AA can't be trusted to get you where you need to be...

So the good news is I was able to fly standby. However, asking specifically whether my checked bag would make the flight both the counter agent AND the gate agent explained that my specially tagged bag would make it (the gate agent even said he radio-ed down and confirmed my name). Flight was even later bc addl bags didn’t fit in overhead bins. My bag NEVER left Bangor. ☹️ disappointed.

8 hours late getting to cancun from bangor maine on April 17th 2024. I've emailed about getting some form of refund or credit, oddly enough no response and nothing back
