Updated review. This was originally a good review. Got my second flight cancelled and the Cuban lady with the tight ponytail (who refused to give me her name, but has a guitar pin on her lanyard) refused to help, had a bad attitude from the start, and flat out lied about available options. She "didn't have time to sit and look through every possible option". She told me I had to book a flight the following day or she would just cancel it and I could try to get a refund. Horrible person. Finally got my call back from AA and the lady booked me a new flight from the airport I asked the rude lady to check that she refused. She said this lady 100% would have been able to see this flight.

Would give zero stars if able. Was just verbally abused by the young woman with a pink tumbler who had her name tag hidden at the ticket counter . Absolute worst customer service provided to military . This is the second unprofessional encounter in 3 weeks with American in Destin and to no surprise after my last complaint through the survey I wasn’t contacted . American Airlines is atrocious and should be avoided at all costs !

Expect your flight to be changed 70% of the times. It's a cheap airline and there's a reason for it. You put your hard earned money to buy a plane ticket, you lock in a ticket in advance to have peace of mind, and they feel free to change it without notice whatsoever. I've made two round trips with this airline in the past year, and both return trips were changed by the airline. The second time, I didn't even get an email! If you want unnecessary added stress to your trip, this is the airline for you

Plane was late so we missed our connecting flight. (their fault, not weather related) We were told to take the late flight and they would put us up for the night and fly the next day, but after getting to gate (I'm Handicapped and walk with cane) which was the furthest gate from TSA, I was able to find out there were no available seats on flights going to our destination that would get us to our destination on time. We got an, I'm sorry for lost vacation and expenses and our refund weeks later. We will never fly with American Airlines

American Airlines doesn’t care about their customers — especially military members. I had to cancel my flight because my military orders were canceled, which their own refund policy lists as refundable, yet they still refused to return my money. I even spoke with a representative (Lisa, GL1 on Oct 12) who confirmed I qualified for a refund, but American Airlines went completely silent afterward. For a company that calls itself American, this treatment of a service member is disgraceful. If this is how they handle those who serve, imagine how they treat everyone else. I’ll never book with them again. Take your money to an airline that respects and values their customers!
