For your information if you book a flight with American Airlines they’ll wait until 4 hours before your trip to cancel your flight. Then you’ll need to speak with them for 3 hours just to get a refund initiated. Then you will end up paying more money to find a same day flight that will get you in later than you should’ve been. You’re better off renting a car and driving across the country than booking a flight with them. If you need to travel overseas you would be in better condition to kayak yourself across the ocean than to catch a flight with American Airlines. 0/5 ATM service disguised as an airline

Stop canceling my flights last minute! American airlines is terrible. The flights that aren't cancelled are nearly always delayed. I will avoid American at every future opportunity. Stop forcing us to listen to your stupid credit card advertisements via the captain's loudspeaker. I HATE this. The onboard snacks are terrible, unhealthy garbage. American Airlines is the worst.

Wish I could give them 0. 1) They wouldn’t let me check in to my flight even though I was here 45 minutes before departure. It is a very small airport. I was “helped” by Lordis (may not be spelling that correctly) she told me I need to be at least an hour early if I want to be able to check in with their airline. I spent about 25 minutes with her trying to book a new flight while I just wanted to get on this one. She told me that if I was able to make it to the gate they would still let me on. I eventually had to ask if I could just take the standby tickets she had gotten me and run to the gate before boarding ended. It was 5:58 when I left the desk for a flight that left at 6:15. When I got to the gate they had just closed the doors. If she hadn’t wasted all that time trying to get me higher on the standby list, I absolutely would have made this flight. And no I did not check any bags. I’m very disappointed with the quality of service. I’ve flown through this airport with plenty of other airlines and never had to be here more than 30 minutes out. This will be the last time I fly with American airline out of this airport and maybe ever. 2) had a flight with them today. When I got to the counter my flight hadn’t been charged but it showed as still reserved. I had the itinerary and everything with a note saying I needed to resolve the issue with my bank, which was resolved midway last week. The attendant, Tammie told me she couldn’t see it but would get me on the next flight out. Although according to her there were none. Not only was I able to other flights available for purchase online, I was able to find a number of flights out with other airlines. I checked again with her. She told me no other airline had anything available. When I told her I was going to Southwest, at that time she said oh well we don’t book with them. That is information you should tel people when you claim to have checked with all other airlines. American Airlines is literally the worst airline I have ever flown on with the least diligent front desk staff. I did forget a bag on the plane and they were very helpful. The flight attendants are not bad. But whoever they have at the front counter always seems to be terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this airline to anyone.

The WORST AIRLINES. I will never fly with them again. My flight got canceled back to back twice on Thursday, then got rescheduled for Friday morning. On Friday morning, the flight was delayed again, and the front desk didn't even know if we would travel that day. I had to take another flight to Dallas and then to Fort Lauderdale to make it to Miami. I was traveling to Miami to celebrate my birthday, and they ruined it. NEVER FLY AMERICAN AGAIN.

American Airlines has become the definition of the next budget airlines. Flights are consistently delayed, cancelled, or overbooked, and the planes feel outdated and cramped. At this point it is becoming a joke that you are almost guaranteed to depart late or be sent to a new gate at the last minute. Their only attempt at ‘customer service’ is offering a $50 gift card no matter the inconvenience. Missed connections? $50. Overnight delays? $50. Lost time and ruined plans? Still $50. It is insulting that they think this fixes anything. This is a greedy, incompetent airline that does not value its passengers, and I will never fly with them again. Sure, losing one customer means nothing to them today, but if they keep running their airline this way, they will feel it eventually as others leave too.
