They had a problem with the projector that took 20+ minutes to resolve. They have decided that they should make the toilets harder to tell which is which (see pic) and most of the reclining chairs squeaked when adjusted. The old school symbols for male and female toilets worked well. Sure one is in a dress but it should be about which symbols are easy for everyone to see clearly. Symbols should be easy to see from a distance, when tired, after a few drinks or if you have cataracts and similar issues. The new signs are harder to make out and are less intuitive. They also have signage that says you are not allowed to carry a firearm, since we know by definition criminals don't care what signs you post and don't honor laws, the intent of AMC must be to disarm the *lawful* citizens from protecting themselves. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else.

Great movie theater. Plenty of free parking Good/friendly customer service in all areas. Good variety of snacks and plenty of beverage dispensers. The bar was not open on Sunday at 11am. Clean bathrooms. Super comfortable chairs that recline to almost flat. Temperature was perfect (not too cold). Audio Visual experience was impressive.

Review for AMC First Colony 24 My wife and I have been enjoying movies at this theater for many years, and last year we decided to join the membership that allows two visits every week for around $20 each. It was an amazing value and we truly enjoyed it—until health problems forced us to pause for a while. Still, we carry wonderful memories of our visits to AMC Theatres. We loved it so much that we often invited friends, relatives, and other family members to join us. This theater stands out as the best because we’ve been movie lovers for decades and can truly tell the difference between the best and the rest. The seating is superb—very comfortable—and the snack section is always stocked with delicious treats that make the movie-going experience special. Even the restrooms, of which there are many throughout this large theater, are always clean and properly maintained. We hope to continue visiting AMC First Colony 24 for the rest of our lives, collecting new memories each time.

Too long, didn’t read: Please don’t go here. Roaches. It’s nasty. I’ll make it an itemized list: - I wonder how much the pay the roaches as the door greeters - super dirty floors when we walked into the lobby. Wasn’t even busy. - sat down, my seat doesn’t recline or have any power. Awesome. - a literal roach walks across the ledge in front of our seats. Proceed to do that back and forth during duration of movie lol - a roach scurries ACROSS THE SCREEN LMAOOOO (see video) - open door to exit outdoors, two more roaches. Maybe the same dudes from before. 0 stars if I could.

Talking during a movie is unacceptable!! Stay home if you want to talk and text, but don’t spoil the movie experience for others. So disappointing this evening at AMC First Colony.
