I’ve stayed at Aloft Chesapeake Greenbrier many times over the years and usually love it, but this recent stay was extremely disappointing. The woman who checked me in the night before was amazing—warm, friendly, and reminded me why I’ve always chosen this location. However, my experience the next morning with a staff member named Alicia was the opposite. She didn’t greet me, didn’t make eye contact, and was rude and dismissive from the start. I booked a room with breakfast included, but she insisted it wasn’t and made me pay out of pocket. When I showed proof, she offered no apology and told me my card would now be charged twice and I’d have to wait days for a refund. Her attitude and unprofessional appearance set the tone for how poorly the situation was handled. Thankfully, Shana stepped in and fixed everything with professionalism, kindness, and clear communication. She deserves recognition. The room was clean but the property is showing its age—stained blinds, chipped mirrors, dirty window seals, and non-working room phones. This used to be my favorite hotel in the area, but the service inconsistency and lack of maintenance are becoming hard to overlook. I hope management addresses these issues, because the staff who do care (like Shana) deserve better representation.

Had a wonderful stay at Aloft Chesapeake! The hotel has a modern, vibrant vibe with clean, comfortable rooms and excellent amenities. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help — they truly made me feel at home. I loved the cozy lounge area and the convenient location close to restaurants and shopping. Everything from check-in to checkout was smooth and professional. A perfect place for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended!

Great hotel and staff/team. We stay 5 or 6 weekends a year. Michele, hotel manager, is amazing! As soon as we walk in we are greeted like family. She remembers everything that is important to us from floor preference to extra towels. She always asks if we need anything. She is friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, neat, and organized. Stayed here for a while during a work trip. All I can say is everything is very clean, the room was pretty big and nice. They had a nice lobby with a bar which they always had an event at night which was really nice. The staff were really nice and attentive, especially Mrs.Penny she helped me with informations I needed and made sure that everything was good on my end, really appreciated the time she put in. Overall I recommend staying here and the location is very convenient.

Ac was noisey. We were supposed to have two beds we paid for but ended up with one bed and a blow up mattress. Despite never complaining when I approached the desk the next morning the black lady in dreads drivng a maryland licenced car acted like she didnt want to look up and then when I finally got her attention answered a question I had about breakfast with a attitude. Spoke to a black customer she didnt know like they were best friends.The other lady that was starting her shift that morning 9/21/25 I opened the back door for her that was locked and she was very nice.
