Allegiant Airlines has been a great option for me. I really like their direct flights, which make travel simple and convenient. The fares are affordable if you want to keep things cheap, but they also offer extra options if you prefer more comfort. I haven’t had any issues so far, and the experience has been smooth every time. It’s a solid choice for budget-friendly and straightforward travel.

There’s no way you could give them 5 stars, but since they do provide transportation, and are the only airline to fly into Mesa, AZ, it’s sort of a risk you have to take for convenience. They will definitely nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING- including water on the flight. On every flight I’ve taken with them, the flight attendants essentially YELL and cackle at the front of the plane amongst themselves, which is super unprofessional, but I’ve been told by other people that Allegiant is a budget airline and they don’t exactly hire the top brass. For the first time, we paid extra to have extra leg room at the first 8 rows of the plane, which was worth it for a 4hr flight. My legs are really short, so no leg room isn’t the worst thing for me, but for anyone over 5’6”, I’d recommend the extra leg room if you can swing it. They do charge for EVERY bag- including carryons, (they allow one personal item, so if it’s a large purse, small backpack, small pet carrier, etc that can fit under the seat, that is included with the flight) but I found that if you select a bundle when booking online you can save around $15 and you get a carryon and get to choose your seat. If you don’t do the bundle and bring a carryon and choose your seat it’s about $15 more expensive (at least at the time I booked most recently in April, 2025. My last flight was good! No delays, minimal turbulence, and although the flight attendants were mega loud and chatty amongst themselves, they were otherwise pleasant.

I spoke with Bryan today when I called and he immediately had a solution we agreed on. He was friendly helpful and great at his job. I wish there were more people in the world like Bryan. I also prayed for him when we were done with our business. He’s a great guy and employee. God bless Allegiant airlines .

Not because it is a comfortable or joyful flying experience, they have the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in and hardly any legroom, but they have been budget friendly for our wallets. I can deal with that trade off - uncomfortable seating for a few hours but lower rates, what I can’t deal with is the uncomfortable flying experience AND disrespectful customer service. We fly from the midwest to Phoenix area to visit my wife’s parents at least once a year. This last trip we had some last minute travel plan changes. We tried changing our flights in the allegiant app multiple times and received an ambiguous error that wouldn’t allow us to change a flight. After a few days of trying to get it to work through the app and from a desktop web browser, we called customer service to get the issue handled. We were told that because it was 7 days they would not refund our tickets or roll over what we paid for our original tickets to the new flight even though we tried to do this ourselves before the 7 days period within the app. We basically had to forfeit our current tickets and buy new ones at full price. Having worked in customer service myself I was appalled by the unwillingness they had to work with us being longtime customers. We booked a return flight with a different airline. We will no longer be using allegiant going forward. Our parents will also not be using allegiant after this headache nor will we be recommending this airline to our friends and family. We are done, the price is not worth the stress of trying to get our issue resolved, uncomfortable flight experience, AND disrespectful customer service. We will pay more for a different airline. Allegiant you have lost what would have been 4 lifetime customers.
