I like Allegiant. It's a quick, economical way to fly. If you can pack light, it's totally worth using them. They do a good job with communicating and have always been reliable for me. I don't need in flight entertainment or snacks (I always pack my own anyway), so it's great.

Allegiant Airlines is the best airlines that I have ever flown on. They are cheap as in affordable. The flights are so easy and quick. So far, every time we have flown with them, we have been very pleased.

My wife and I and our 5 children fly Nashville to Provo twice a year to visit family, and Allegiant is wonderful in Nashville but absolutely awful in Provo. Their baggage policy allows for a veteran to have a baggage allowance as well as everyone on the veterans itinerary- yet they absolutely refuse to honor the free checked bags for dependents here. We looked up their policy prior to arriving at the airport, and every time they pull a completely different policy only they have access to, that isn’t even printed on their policy at the desk. It can only be pulled up on their employee handbook that we don’t have access to. That being said, our $5,000-$6,000 annual budget for these tickets will never go to Allegiant again simply over a $75 baggage fee that should not have been charged to a veteran. Yes, I presented my ID and my children have my last name on my itinerary and they still refused the free bag. Absolutely unbelievable. We have a family of 7 we fly round trip twice a year, but I am happy to say I’ll never fly Allegiant again simply over their refusal to honor their own policy that says the veteran AND spouse/children are entitled to a free checked bag. Never again.

The absolute worst airline. They don't even deserve a single star. We have traveled with them a few times to save money for our family of 6. I am a veteran and have never had to pay for bag fees. Now they're requiring that my children have an ID to get checked luggage. My children don't need an ID to get on post but now need one for luggage. The website does not define what a child ID is. It only defines what is required for a veteran and their spouse; both being underscored. Alex from their corporate office tried to read their policy from the website and offer their own interpretation just to deny us baggage and then require me to pay additional baggage fees. Furthermore, Allegiant baggage fees are highway robbery. They charge $75 when Delta is only $35. How they justify charging such high prices for crap service is unacceptable. The way Allegiant treats the military and their family is ridiculous. The savings is not worth it anymore considering you get seats that don't recline and have no storage. Plus they offer nothing in terms of additional services without having to pay. It's worth paying a few dollars more for Delta, American, SouthWest or United since they treat veterans better and at least offer things like in flight entertainment.

Both of the last two times we’ve traveled with Allegiant they’ve delayed our flight for several hours, but they do it in small increments so you think you’re still going to be able to fly soon, only to find out it’s delayed more than 8 hours or postponed till the next day. The wait to talk to a customer service agent on the phone was over 2 hours! The emails they send are rude and they offer very little compensation for their mechanical delays. Not only do they nickel and dime you on their ticketing prices, they are very cheap on helping you out when they’re at fault for delays. Allegiant considers their customers to be their adversaries rather than their allies, which is rather ironic considering their name.
