This review applies to ALL of Alaska Air, not just DCA. Alaska Air has lost its way when it comes to providing meaningful service to its customers. It is now clumped in the bottom of the heap with the other lower cost carriers, IMHO. --Discontinued checking bags at arrival ramp. --Up charge for refundable tickets --Premium seat charge (`50% more) and showing middle seats as blocked out, giving the buyer the impression that is part of the deal, then filling them later. Bait and switch. Greed is not a good long-term business model.

TERRIBLE AIRLINE!! Flight to DCA was canceled as I was heading to the airport. I was extremely disappointed that I was forced to book my own flight on United Airlines last-minute for $1000 to arrive home in time for work on Monday. I even had to fly to Dulles (way farther away than DCA), and pay for the longer ride home at 1am. How can you just cancel a flight and not book the next available flight for me? Refunding me for the ticket I bought months ago to save money and forcing me to book the United flight myself for a ridiculous amount of money is insane!! Offering a late red-eye flight which would cost me my job was obviously not an option either. This practice is extremely unethical.

Alaska Airlines is very helpful for me! I'm a disabled passenger and they definitely give me extra special care and attention!

Something is really sexy and luxurious about the purple, pink, blue hues of the Alaskan Airlines cabin. When I fly with them, I feel like Iβm embarking on an escapade with my passionate lover. A secret getaway to a far away land in the dead of night. So we order champagne and hope no one sits in our row.

I want to say Tim at the check in the supervisor was the most helpful and caring employee I have seen. He was respectful and kind. Yet to meet someone like him in massive airlines line emirates. Deserves a promotion right away
