Literally the stupidest check in process. Not intuitive at all, but they sure act like it is.

Not an easy experience for a public customer, geared for b2b. Air General is the sub contractor. The map directions are correct. If you have a shipping receipt and air way bill number, go to the second from the left door that says "check-in". In the tiny room, use the dingy computer to check-in. A basic sign with instructions would have helped here. Installing the shipping app is not necessary. You will get a txt message with the door number for pickup hopefully in a few minutes. You likely will need to go in the office, first door from the left, to provide ID and sign. I got my frozen seafood just fine but I'm glad I waited until daylight to pickup instead of 30min before close. This could have been an easier experience. I never received a phone call for pickup notification. Calling Alaska Air Cargo number was not much help - the reps were not forthcoming with information or detailed instructions.

Since Covid, they no longer have a person at a desk to help here in Denver. They have an online check in process which is not very clear. I called ahead of time to confirm my package was ready for pickup. I was told my package had landed and would be ready for pickup at 2:17. I arrived at 4:15 and had to call customer service to figure out how to check in. It is currently 5:15 and after bugging employees nearby, have learned that NOW they are supposedly bringing my package from the airport. However they told me it would be 15-20 minutes, and it has been at least 30. I have no idea when I'll get it. Have had no confirmation from the check in system or anything. Just hire a person to work at the desk. Or at the very least have a text notification system to update people on the status.

After a very long flight from the Humane Society in Hawaii via Alaska Air Cargo, our dog arrived in perfect health at DEN! The Cargo pickup area is a bit off putting, but Alaska Air Cargo actually got our dog to is sooner than they said they would (Thank you!) and all the staff were really lovely and congratulated us. We are so grateful for the wonderful staff at Alaska Air Cargo!

I arrived to pick up my parrot at 6:20, a whole hour before it was scheduled to arrive. I was told to check back in at 7:20, fine. So checked in again at 7:20 only to be told that I had to go to the airport to pick him up because they don’t do pickups after 7:00, even though they don’t close until 8:00, and my slip said pickup at their location at 7:20 not the airport. They should’ve told me that from the beginning. Ridiculous!
