Very pleasant experience with the cargo team. We went in the morning with a good amount of stuff to ship. Leslie, was kind, helpful and very prompt. The whole process took us about 45 mins and we had a lot of items to send out. We will be sending more through the Alaska cargo system and I’m pleased with the service!

We had a terrible experience visiting this specific port for Alaska cargo to ship our dog. We made two visits during the first we were , I admit, about 10 minutes late. Rather than being polite and accommodating, a middle-age short haired woman took 15 minutes of her time to continue to repeat how we were late without clarifying if she would actually take our pet or not. She also mentioned that she would be off shift in 15 minutes, which I suspect was a big reason for her to not want to help us. On our second visit today, we had all our documents and where well within the time they asked us to arrive. However, this time their concern was that our dogs crate is not large enough, and our papers are no longer valid. This is not true because our papers were reviewed by the same employee earlier, and she confirmed that of their validity. We know our papers are valid, but they made us jump through more hoops When they saw our dog in our crate, they rejected him because apparently our crate was too small . I have flown with my dog on Alaska as cargo multiple times with the same crate and no one has given us so much pushback. At this point, I don’t have excuses for the employees here, but what I do know is that I will never be using Alaska Airlines cargo ever again to ship my pet. I hope this is a warning to anyone who is trying to book their pet out of Chicago. Have reasonable expectations that your pet will be rejected for made-up reasons.

Update 8/23: Somehow it gets worse. No one even showed up for work until they had been open for 15 minutes. First customer and I’m still here 45 minutes later and the woman is working on other things for people that are not even here. Horrifying service, process, communication etc. always a drag when I have to drop cargo here. Good luck to the unfortunate souls who face a similar fate… Absolute disaster. Horribly short staffed this crew is Incredibly consistent with bad attitudes and a glaring lack of ability to communicate with customers. Inconsistent acceptance/denial of cargo. Dirty as hell. Always leave their own truck parked right in front of door against yellow curb making both access and parking a challenge. Poor representation of the brand, Alaska Airlines! I will never fly you as a customer.

The worst cargo ever at o'hare.. employees do anything they want. Rude office team. Its takes at least 3hrs or more to pick or drop something off here ridiculous place. Needs a whole new staff.

Terrible customer service, I booked a pet connect service for my dog and they wouldn’t take him just because the health certificate we provided which was an direct print out of the Indian veterinarian state board approved version didn’t have the supposed “hand written” signature even though it had all information required. My girlfriend had to drive almost three hours one way and back.
