Please plan plenty of time ahead and remember to check the air train service. It could experience an outage and take a long time of waiting. There is also no connection of uber or other service due to construction, which means you might be trapped at this station with an insane level of anxiety… the air-train itself is also crowded and slow. You need an extra 10-15 minutes to walk to terminal A from the air train station, not mentioning tons of station en route to terminal A.

This is awful. Not only it’s expensive (at least to/from the train station), it never works properly. If you have to used it, take your time; a lot of time. If you can avoid it, please highly consider doing it.

Decent airport and very convenient for New Jersey, but the air train system is always a hassle. If you have to travel from or travel to terminal a it’s a long walk and I always stopping and starting and making you transfer. I miss my train by two minutes literally because I had to and get back on the same track of the air train. Ridiculous. You would think with such a large international airport. They would have it figured out.

The Newark AirTrain is a very convenient and efficient service connecting Newark Liberty International Airport with locals and regionals public transit systems. In addition, you can enjoy a prime view of Newark Airport especially early in the morning.

1990 called. They want their ticketing system back. Literally the worst ticketing machines - worse than PATH which is an accomplishment. The 4 card readers are so janky (when they work at all) and the instructions for payment are hella confusing. You know it is a cluster when the automated ticketing system is manned by NJT employees who are there for the express reason to help train passengers buy tickets. It is embarrassing that this station is the gateway to NYC from EWR. Do better NJT. Seriously.
