    I’ve flown with Air New Zealand for nearly 45 years. I’ve never been disappointed. This time, one part of my trip was donated by a colleague who had CoVid airline credit he no longer needed, so I could attend a very special 45-year reunion. I’m deeply grateful. The aircraft was so quiet, smooth and comfortable (and yes, I was able to doze off even in regular economy), plus there was great content on the entertainment system. The service was very professional as always. I’m very grateful to their staff at LAX re: my baggage pick up. I always choose this airline — as an ex-pat “Kiwi” — not only for nostalgia but for the quality of the whole experience. Many thanks to you all.

    Great experience with Air New Zealand. Flew from Los Angeles to Auckland and back. The staff is extremely kind, helpful, and efficient. The only place that was less than efficient was the boarding in Los Angeles. There was a “herding cattle” mentality in trying to get people into the plane. Most people didn’t listen to the instructions, but there was no organization so it didn’t matter. We found the seating to be comfortable with adequate room and amenities. The flights included free WiFi that was accessible shortly after takeoff. The food was pretty good for airline standards (see pictures). The inflight entertainment options included a variety of choices that seemed to cover most tastes. Blankets, pillows, and wired earbuds were provided for each passenger. The seats reclined nicely. Again a good experience with ANZ with the highlight being the good people that work for the airline. We look forward to seeing you again!

    I would advise not flying this airline to NZ, but you may have limited options. I flew ANZ from LAX to AKL RT this past Aug/Sep. I paid an additional $1,000.00 for a sky couch (3 seats) for 2 people. I would also advise against this add on as I did not find much additional value. My current complaint with the airline has to do with uncourteous treatment I received at the gate in AKL on my flight back to the US on 09/01/2025, as well as generally underwhelming in flight service. After the delay was announced, I went up to the man who was in charge of delivering announcements/updates to passengers waiting at the gate. I realize he was under stress, but he immediately became defensive and would not allow me to ask a question or finish a sentence. After he paused, I explained to him everything he said to me was not the question I wanted to ask and actually had to request he listen while I asked it. I wanted to know whether they could inform Alaska (on the US side) of the delays so that perhaps I might be able to exit the plane early and hustle to the domestic gate. He informed me ANZ didn't do that. I then said that answered my question and went back to my seat. When I was trying to sort things on the ground after arriving at LAX, I learned from the Alaska agents that someone at ANZ (perhaps this gentleman) had held up my tickets at Alaska for the connecting flight. This was confusing since I booked both legs separately and I did not understand how ANZ would have such authority. In any case, it likely wouldn't have enabled me to catch my connecting flight since ANZ was 2hrs late and my connecting flight was scheduled to leave around 40min after we landed. I had scheduled a 3hr delay for a connecting flight believing it would be sufficient. The 2hr delay cost me over $1,000.00 in additional air fare, losing, and meals for a 1 night layover. To summarize, the treatment I received from the gate manager was definitely on the uncourteous side and in flight service underwhelming. There were a few bright spots (man greeting us on/off plane), but the rest of the attendants appear to operate on auto pilot. I would not fly this airline again unless there were no other options.

    We flew Air New Zealand from Houston to Zuckland to Melbourne. These were some of the most enjoyable flights we have been on. The staff was great , the food was great , seats were good, usb power and the restrooms were clean. Definitely a great experience even in coach st plus 23 hours.

    Excellent Service in Business Class. I had a long flight from Auckland to LA. The seats, which convert to lie flat beds are large and confortable. More space as at many other airlines, because of the herringbone design The food was fantastic, every dish prepared at the point, what should be hot, was hot, … Service and Staff also excellent
