    Worst flying experience… I should be able to get a free checked bag with my aeroplane card. And the agent just said that “the line behind you is getting long…”, “ I start working before you even born…” what kind of service is this? And now I have to pay and deal with the online customer service later for refund. Not mentioning their delays and new carryon bag policy AC is just worser than low-cost airline

    Air Canada has the worst customer service. I purchased a ticket and was told by their travel agency that I could use mileage to bid for a cabin upgrade on their website. I transferred 91k credit card rewards points to AeroPlan account to pay for the upgrade, only to be told that my ticket wasn’t eligible for upgrade. This is not something I could’ve known in advance. Jeff the lead rep from their Montreal office actually chastised me for “not doing my homework”. Even their customer rep had to double check their computer system to verify if the ticket is upgradable or not. How can a 81yr old customer like me, with no access to their computer system and no knowledge of the complicated airfare coding system, be able to know in advance if a ticket is not upgradable?! It took a lot of time and credit card spending to accumulate 91k reward points, which is equivalent to at least $910. It’s made completely useless and obsolete when Jeff refused to let me use it and yet refused to refund those points, even though I was told by their own rep that he could send an email to credit card company to reverse the point transfer. I was basically robbed 91k points. This is unacceptable and the attitude is disgusting! I’ll never ever flight air Canada again and I’d advise anyone to be careful before booking. Also their seats are so small that it’s one of the most uncomfortable airline I’ve ever flown.

    Should have read the reviews before flying Air Canada. Where to start… bad information, major delays, in flight WiFi not working. This outfit needs to get it together. My final connection had a full day layover but what can you do? With economy tickets there are literally ’no changes’ that can be made. Flying out of Montreal one way the flight was delayed 6 hours. The return out of Montreal was 2 hours. Even some of the staff don’t want to work there as the attitude was frigid. They were offering a $900 flight credit to give up a seat on the final flight. It would have to be cash in my pocket. Never again.

    This is the worst of all airlines. The food that I got in international flight was as if chewing on a rubber. Airlines did not inform that baggage was self transfer. Seats are as tight as it possibly could be. Not a good airlines. Avoid if possible not worth couple of dollars of lower price.

    Just want to thank Nicole at the Air Canada Reservations desk for saving us after all flights out of EWR were cancelled because the storm last month. Professional and knowledgeable.
