YVR to NRT on a 787-9, the seats were big and comfortable, we got 2 meals and multiple drinks, lots of in-flight entertainment available and it was all at a good price!

I booked a trip to Canada very far in advance, using only Air Canada, as I expected that they would be reliable. Now that it's time to travel back to Europe, they've left me completely stranded in Canada with no way of getting back home to my work and family. The majority of their staff at Vancouver were supremely unwilling to help and unempathetic (only one young woman working for them had any sort of empathy for my situation, but her supervisor just told me to call a phone number and get a flight home a week from now). Unacceptable treatment of their passengers. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.

I have never in my life felt so humiliated and disrespected by an airline. We arrived at the airport one full hour before our flight, traveling on business class tickets that we paid for. Yet the Air Canada supervisor at the super elite check in office (she looked french and her name started with a C) treated us like we didn’t belong there. She refused to let us check in, insisting that “check-in was closed,” even though we were on time. When we explained, she looked at us with suspicion, as if we were lying. She didn’t even believe we were business class passengers and kept watching us with hostility the entire time. What makes this worse is that there was a white blond woman right behind us going to the exact same destination, and she let her through with no issue at all. Same flight. Same timing. But she was allowed, and we were denied. The only difference? We are Arabs. This was blatant racism. We were robbed of our flight, our dignity, and our time. Air Canada loves to market itself as diverse and inclusive but the reality we faced was discrimination, pure and simple. To deny paying customers their flight while granting exceptions to others is not just unprofessional, it’s discriminatory and shameful. Air Canada, you should be ashamed of how your supervisor treated us. We will never forget this humiliation, and I will never recommend your airline to anyone.

AC566 from YVR to SFO on March 16, the planned departure is at 1:10pm, but delayed to 2:30pm. After completed boarding our flight waited on the start lane for over 1hr without any explanations or announcements. The temperature in the aircraft was too warm, the AC was not set correctly. It’s really one of the bad experiences we ever had by Air Canada, horrible 😞 😤😤 The real departure time was 3:34pm including over 1h15m sitting in the overheated Boeing 737-8 MAX. My suggestion, don’t choose Air Canada if possible.

Air Canada cancelled our flight and reschedule it 26 hours later that completely interrupted my family's long waited Japan trip, it wasn't due to natural reason such as weather but under the company's control. On the day we wasted 9 hours of our time from 6am to 3pm, including a few hours in the customer counter waiting for supervisor to handle our rescheduling. When we came to the counter for rebooking help there were at least 4 employees on the counter but we were told they were not trained to handle customer rebooking, we were also told the supervisor could come 10:30 to handle our rebooking, but she showed up more than one hour later, the end result was exactly the same so the few hours we spent waiting for her was completely wasted; We already prepaid hotel and all the tickets for the our stay in Tokyo so all of the cost for the first day is completed wasted; The $80 meal voucher issues was far less than our financial loss due to the financial cancellation, and it was not surprisingly invalid (as Your company screw up everything possible along the flight), the vouchers were supposed to last 72 hours, when we tried to used it at our lounge next day less than 24 hours from its issuing at a designated restaurant, the worker there couldn't scan the vouchers after multiple tries on all 4 vouchers issued, so we had to pay the food from our own money; For the two return flights they were also full of unfortunate events that caused bad experience and further delay and waste of our time, both flights departed late and the last leg had another significant delay of more than half an hour after touchdown, the gate was for some reason not available so we waited more than half an hour, when we got out of plane it was almost one hour later than the supposed arrival time; The gate you arranged is the farthest in Vancouver airport, also was the luggage pickup location in Seattle airport; We also called customer service for rescheduling help and after a long time wait (more than an hour) we got a call back but the CS representative was equally clueless and unhelpful. Other than a fatal crash, your company couldn't do anything right and provided the worst service possible among the tons of flights we have taken in our lives. We wrote a complaint to the company, received an auto reply that customer service rep would contact us about the issue, 3 weeks has passed, there is zero contact from the company, not very surprising based on what we had gone through with the company so far.

Flew a very empty flight from YVR to Phoenix. The Air Canada check in attendant was rude and didn’t look up from the computer while asking us to check our carry-on baggage. He put a check tag on my girlfriend’s bag saying it was too big, then went to put one on mine as well. I asked to measure my bag as I’m sure it’s carry on size. It fit into the bag measurements and he said “ok you can take it”. Many passengers were made to check their bags while the plane was more than half empty with lots of bag storage. The lack of interest and attentiveness of the Air Canada employee was shocking and disappointing.
