On a recent trip from Toronto to Atlanta, the Air Canada flight kept shaking and the landing was quite rough and unsteady. I prayed throughout the landing sequence hoping for a safe touchdown. The air hostesses were gracious throughout and were the only saving grace of the whole trip. I’ll avoid flying Air Canada in the future if I can avoid it.

I was involuntarily denied boarding on my Atlanta - Toronto flight on May 23rd and I was told I had to stay behind and could not get on the flight that I paid $436.50 for. I spent 12 hours in the airport that day. I was 12 hours late getting to Toronto, I missed half a day of my vacation, and I was feeling very sick and tired by the time I got there at 2 AM. The whole thing was super discouraging and I felt like there was nothing I could do. At the advice of a friend, I read about involuntary denied boarding on the Internet and I filed a claim on Air Canada’s website. I saved all of my records, including a picture of my boarding pass, ticket number, and receipt for purchase and sent them in with my claim. Today, I got a check in the mail for $1750 from Air Canada as involuntary denied boarding compensation! I just wanted to post this here so that people know there is light at the end of the tunnel and you are owed some sort of compensation for crazy events that happen at the airport that are not your fault. You can get compensation for denial of boarding, cancelled flights, delays, and more. It took about four months of waiting and a bit of legwork, but Air Canada finally came through! Make sure you apply on their website.

Just tried to board plane with boarding pass issued by air canada agent. There were 2 pilots sitting in business class, one in my seat. Guess who was asked to me, the elite member client, or the air Canada staff? Disappointing and not representative of how competitive this industry is right now. This is what happens when leaders don’t lead. Culture deteriorates. Air Canada elites move to Delta and enjoy nicer lounges. Flight 1308 May 7 th… departed late.

I was getting ready to purchase a ticket using my points with Aeroplan. after trying to sign in, I found out that my account has been frozen. I Call the customer service number that was provided I opted for someone to call me back because there was a long wait, it toke about half a day to call me back. That being said at this point I thought they will ask me some questions verify who solve the issue unfreeze my account and we would be done. However the person told me that my account has been frozen level two and they cannot unfreeze it, I asked what was the reason, she stated she did not know I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said it will have to stay on hold for 1 hour to get to a supervisor. She continued by saying all I have to do is send an email with a copy of my picture ID and that is the only way my account will be unfrozen . She gave me an email address I sent that email and Four days later I still have no response and no access to buy my ticket. I called customer service again and The same thing I waited for a callback that I waited for half a day, the rep could not do anything could not help in any way I asked to speak to a supervisor she stated it will be at leased 15 minutes a I said I’ll wait. Five minutes later the same rep comes back and states I just spoke with a supervisor and he can not do anything to help you. The truth is I myself I’m thinking about changing my plans and going with a different airline. If I had the horrible experience with something that’s simple what would’ve happened if it was something a little bit more serious like losing my luggage having to change a flight for any reason. Airplane Air Canada are Entities that I will never refer or advice anybody to deal with.

reasonable prices for flights, but average service overall. nothing exceptional, but decent option for budget travelers.
