My worst aviation maintenance experience ever. My pilot (part 135) got a flat tire in Boston and called them for service. They promised the same day and after a few hours when I called they told me would be the next day. The next day after another call they told me the guy did not check for the correct tire and now it will be the next day after they get the correct tube. On day three I finally got my tire fixed and a bill for $1200. We lost our customer, lost two days of revenue, got overcharged, and when I questioned the bill they threatened to put a lean on the aircraft. After a few e-mails and phone calls with the owner, we agreed on $899. They sent me the corrected bill and we paid it promptly ( all this is documented). Today I received a letter from the FAA that they put a lean. These guys are unbelievable. It is very sad and disappointing that businesses like Air Bear Aviation exist in America. BTW the tire they fixed/ replaced went low after a few flights and I had to pay my regular mechanic to fix it ( valve).

Think long and hard about getting work done with these people. Not only do they overcharge (billed 5hrs to change a starter) they have truly unscrupulous business practices and when you bring it up to their attention they threaten to charge your card that they have on file without your permission. Mitch is the worst person to deal with in this company. Very unprofessional!!!! Truly sad because the guys that actually do the work aren’t terrible! I will never use them again and I hope you don’t either!!!

This is the place to go if you want a competent and trustworthy aircraft technician to repair or inspect your aircraft, be it a single or multi engine. They will treat you right and leave you feeling like you got your money’s worth. If you have an annual due, I definitely recommend this place. They know what they are doing.
