Your tour guide will absolutely make or break this experience. Unfortunately, ours (Rosebud) was not good. She knew the route, but there was no history, no storytelling, and no context for what we were seeing. It felt like we were just aimlessly wandering, never really knowing where we were or why we were stopping. She also yelled at passengers for talking — but the tour itself was so dull that it was hard to stay engaged. The best part was simply the scenery; the houses along the route were pretty. We stopped at Café du Monde, the cemetery, and the lake. Since it was included with the GoCity pass, I wasn’t as frustrated, but I would never pay $50 for this tour. Not worth it unless you get a more engaging guide.

I'm so glad we decided to take this tour!! I wish we would've done it at the beginning of our trip so we could get a good idea of the layout of everything, places to go, eat, and things to do. My advice is to take a map from the tour guide and take notes. Also, our guide John was wonderful!!! You could tell he was an authentic native who had a lot of love for Louisiana, it's history and culture. We all very much enjoyed the tour and was surprised at how fast the time went by.

We booked a swamp tour, that ended up getting rained out. They were supposed to refund me immediately after it was canceled. I ending up having to call 10+ times after several months, and then eventually had to contest the charge with my bank, for them to finally refund me. Every time I would call I kept being pushed off to the salesperson/customer service rep that sold me the tour, but he never would get back to me. Then when I started complaining after my first few calls, I kept being told a manager would get back to me, which also never happened. Terrible customer service! Beware!

We took the 10 am bus tour on Saturday, July 13, and would definitely book it again. Our guide and driver John was very knowledgeable and entertaining! The tour lasted longer than expected - about 2.5 hours - but we saw much of the city from the comfort of an air-conditioned shuttle bus. It's true that guided walking tours will give you much more detailed information about a certain neighborhood or district, but this bus tour does provide a nice overview of the city.

Overall, it was an enjoyable and educational ride on the bus. The man giving us the tour was very knowledgeable and very polite and very funny. I was slightly disappointed that we only got to spend about 10 minutes in Cemetery number two when I thought it would be at least a half an hour or so. Otherwise enjoyable ride in a bus with AC riding around New Orleans getting to take in the sights and sounds.👍
