Staff are great just to get that out of the way. Now on the firearm side. During covid they decided to get rid of AR-15's from the store and phase out the STANDARD CAPACITY 30 round magazines. Now they sell ones that look like 30's but have a block to limit them to 20. Their Monarch brand of ammo at least in 9mm is very competitive on price and is much hotter and consistently loaded than Winchester white box is. But. Their prices for ammo on general are whack. Some are great some are way higher than other local places. Price matching is so finicky there it isn't worth trying to do. The reason you all have the ammo and the other stores are out of stock meaning you cannot match the price, is because your prices are so high. The other stores actually sell the stuff. 5.7 Federal ammo at Academy is 40 a box. RK has it for 30, everyday normal price. Between the strict price matching policy, policy of no more AR's and being right on the line of anti gun with that and their no 30rd mag thing, I just don't see the value in going there anymore. They may have pushed me to just buy off the Internet instead, finally.

I expected to go to several stores in search of a backpack for my grandson. Our first stop was Academy, and our only stop. They have a large selection to pick from and he found the perfect one for school this year.

We did a pickup order of a roof cargo box. The two employees who brought it out were very courteous, and even took the time to unbox it for us before returning to the store. Very friendly.

1st time here! Masks not required. Employees are wearing masks though. We went around 2 pm on a Sunday and it wasn't that busy at all. Easy in and out. They had a big parking lot. Alot of the adult bikes are still out of stock after the covid pandemic. There was only 5 bikes in stock. They had alot of shoes and clothing though.

9 people in line trying to check out not a single register open except 1 lady at the service desk, didnt have time to wait so i just set my stuff down and left alsong with 2 more people emplyees just wondering around instead of working a register
