We had THE MOST AMAZING leaf peeping experience by air! 🍂 🍁 Forget fighting traffic jams on the ground. We started with Emigration Canyon, flew above the aspens in Guardsman Pass, suddenly we were above the snowy peaks of the Canyons Ski resort, and then looking at the backside of Brighton Ski resort! We stayed just below the clouds. The sunshine broke through the clouds acting like a spot light on the colorful leaves. We were lucky that it had snowed the night before. I couldn’t stop grinning! My 25-year-old daughter kept saying “Wow!” and “How beautiful!” into her headset speaker. That summed it up! Look at the photos. There was not much more to say. We swooped over to Little Cottonwood Canyon and came out looking over the entire Salt Lake Valley, spotting familiar landmarks and even spotting our own home. The whole experience was really peaceful. Neil, our pilot kept us informed and we had no worries. He pointed out landmarks, told us which canyon we entered. He even took photos before, during, and after the flight. He let my daughter fly the plane once we were out of the canyon, and she absolutely loved it! Take off and lading were a breeze. There’s no hassle of TSA. I think we have found our new fall tradition! When you see the news that the fall colors have arrived, AND the news of gridlock in the canyons… take to the sky with Absolute Flight! You can thank me afterwards 🙏

Our scenic Cottonwood Canyons tour with Neil was epic. We saw amazing geological diversity from an excellent new perspective. We observed a herd of elk lazing and grazing mountainside. A great tour for myself who knows nothing about flight and my father who knows everything about everything. We felt like we were in excellent hands with Neil. Highly recommend. Will book again.

Neil was an awesome pilot, had a storm roll in the weekend of the flight but he was very communicative about still finding a safe time to fly. It was an awesome experience I definitely recommend booking a flight with him!

I recently had the incredible opportunity to take a flight over the Great Salt Lake in a small airplane, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, our pilot made us feel completely at ease. Friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about flying, Neil took the time to explain the route and safety details before we took off. As we soared above Salt Lake City and the lake itself, the views were absolutely stunning, the shimmering water, the unique salt flats, and the contrast of the mountains on the horizon made for an unforgettable panorama. Flying in a smaller aircraft gave us a much more intimate and immersive experience, with great visibility and the ability to fly lower for better views. The flight was smooth and relaxing, and the pilot pointed out landmarks and fun facts along the way, which added a lot to the experience. It’s a perfect activity for photographers, adventure seekers, or anyone waiting to see Utah’s natural beauty from a whole new perspective. Highly recommended this to locals and visitors alike. A true hidden gem !

Two years ago, I flew from the NW down to Utah to experience some backcountry flying while getting my flight review. My first experience was so exciting and informative that I couldn’t wait to come back. Neil and I have the same type airplanes but his version is modified perfectly for safety and performance in this area. Getting a second opportunity at guiding this backcountry beast around SLC airstrips under Neil’s instruction was again the highlight of my flying year. Already making plans to come back again and experience a third round with Absolute!
